Wide-angle photography with your iPhone

I said in a previous post that sometime I was missing my camera because I cannot do nice portraits with my iPhone. I was also missing doing wide-angle photography, until I found Photosynth, an iPhone App by Microsoft.

With my photo gear I have a nice 10mm wide-angle lens that I was using mostly for landscapes and interior photography. I replaced it with Photosynth, a great application by Microsoft, which is available only for iOS and Windows Phones.

It has problems with stitching when the picture is mostly composed of water surface (like the sea or a lake) or forest but overall it’s quite a good substitute for landscapes and buildings. Below are some pictures I took with Photosynth.
